At Bournemouth Flying Club, we are able to offer the opportunity for almost anyone to take the controls of a light aircraft during an introductory trial lesson, under the guidance of a Qualified Flying Instructor.
Your trial lesson can be enjoyed in one of our 2 or 4 seater aircraft at an attractive price
If you wish to purchase an Introductory Trial Lesson, simply call us and we will issue you with a voucher for a flight together with a booklet telling you what to expect and how to get the most out of a lesson. You can also purchase one by writing to us stating the details below. Alternatively, you can visit us at the club and buy over the counter.
When booking, it is advisable to give at least a weeks notice to book a flight at the time of your choice, or if you wish to book on the spur of a moment, just give us a call. Subject to an instructor and aircraft being available, we will do our best to get you airborne.
On the day of your lesson, call us before you leave home to check that the weather is suitable, if it isn't then we will book you in for another day.
Please arrive at the club promptly at the time arranged for your lesson. We will process the voucher and make you a club member for the day. Family and friends are welcome to come in and wave you off! There is also a restaurant and bar facility with a superb viewing area available too.
The Instructor will give you a preflight briefing to discuss where you would like to fly to (perhaps over your house?), and after the take off, you will be shown how to fly the aircraft. Then it's over to you-you'll probably be flying the aircraft a few minutes after take off!

*Vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of purchase and are sent in a plain envelope via the post.
We accept most cards, cheques and cash.
Our hours of business are 8.00 till dark, 7 days a week.
Occasionally we may have to cancel a lesson owing to poor weather/technical problems.
